  • The Procurement Center, where expert buyers were able to exclusively present themselves, enables intensive talks between suppliers and buyers. In 2009, buyers such as the supermarket and respectively hypermarket chains Reliance, HyperCity, Aditya Birla Group, Spencer’s and ITC, cash & carry markets such as Metro Cash & Carry as well as big airlines like Air India used the event for brisk business.

Held for the first time in the course of the trade show in 2009 the Importers Meeting has become firmly established. The event was aimed primarily at Indian importing companies and was dominated by issues relating to the new food law in India.

The forecast period for the foodservice industry looks bright for India as foodservice will continue to grow rapidly both commercially and economically. As consumers become increasingly affluent and exposed to other cultures, the cuisines available are likely to be more widespread, and not just Indian. More foreign brands are likely to emerge over the forecast period, as investments are likely to pour into this developing industry.

International FoodService India will showcase amenities, equipment and systems for the whole hotel, event, inflight and travel catering sector in the air, sea, on rail and on the ground as well as all retail
technology demands.
